* Art Garza *
Reverend Blues
Band
Art grow up listening to people like
Chuck Berry, Elvis, Buddy Holly,
The Beatles, and The Rolling
Stones. It was only a matter of time
before he joined his first garage
band at the age of 12 years old.

He stumbled into radio in the late
seventies and became a DJ for a
few stations in town, as well as,
Fresno, California and Ft.
Lauderdale, Florida. However,
after twenty years in the business,
Art was burnt out.
"There was much missing in my life and I tried filling the holes with anything I could find.
That was not a very pretty picture.." reflects Art.

It wasn't until he left radio and was driving a cab fare Father say "go to church."
Art remembers, "all of a sudden I wasn't angry any more." He became a Christian in
October of 2004.

Since then, Art has seen many wonderful things in the service of our Lord and in spite of
arthritic issues can still play his guitar "like a ring in a bell." God is good.

Art has played in cover bands from South Florida to San Antonio, such as Red Sauce
Rules. Recently, he added Patsy Torres to his musical resume, joining her for the
"Positive Force" shows in San Juan, Texas and Tucson, Arizona.

"I love the work we do in Reverend Blues. The concept of a Christian Blues/outreach
band is completely out of the box and very important to me" says Art. "Pastor Tony is a
great boss, too," he smiles.
