order to win lost souls using God’s word and love, to praying without ceasing and to providing services of
healing and wholeness. As a giving church, we seek to provide food for the hungry, funds for those in need,
clothing to the community and second chance living (shelter) for the homeless. As loving church we seek to
meet the need of our widows & orphans. We vow to be an advocate for abused children and our elderly.
Receiving good gifts from God, it our desire to use those gifts in service of God’s kingdom through stewardship
of resources, assimilation of new members and utilization of members’ talents. Messenger’s of God works
cooperatively with others of mutual purpose in accomplishing the task before us.

Purpose Statement: We seek to fulfill the God-given purposes of the church. To Evangelize to the lost, to gather
God's people in Fellowship, to grow together in Discipleship, to equip the family for Ministry, and to glorify God in
Worship.
Our Christian Values:
The purpose for Christian values is to capture the essence of what a growing Christian should look like. Under
the leadership of God, our Goal is to be Christ-like in our daily living. These values drive how we carry out
ministry. There are many good examples Christ has left for us to follow; yet, we believe these are the basic truths
found in God's Word that will help propel Messengers of God Church into the future.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
WE BELIEVE…
That Christ died to redeem us Titus 2:14 Galatians 3:13
That salvation is through Grace Eph. 2:8-10 Romans 3:23-24
That Repentance and Acceptance is vital John 6:37 1 John 1:9
That God is Triune… Father, Son and Holy Ghost Matthew 28:19
That the Bible is the inspired Word of God II Tim. 3:16 II Peter 1:19
New Birth must be experienced to be a child of God John 3:3 II Cor. 5:17
The Bible teaches that God has provided salvation for man in the person and work (life, ministry, vicarious death,
and resurrection) of his son Jesus Christ. Conditions or requirements for salvation: Repentance toward God and
faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Man fell through Disobedience Romans 5:12, 19
In a daily Christian life I Thes. 5:23 Hebrews 6:1
With salvation we are set apart from sin and dedicated to God for fellowship and service. This sanctification is
both instant and progressive in the life of the saint.
In the Ordinances of the Church.
There are two ordinances (authoritative order, decree) that we observe and practice.
A) In Water Baptism through immersion Romans 6;4 Acts 2:41
All who repent of their sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ are eligible for water baptism.
B) In the Institution of the Lord’s Supper I Cor. 11:23-28
"Do it in remembrance" declares the Lord's death and as such a memorial. "You do show the Lord's death" is an
act of faith in the atoning work of Christ and as a proclamation. "Till He comes" is a statement of anticipation of
the return of our Lord Jesus Christ and as such our hope.
In the Baptism of the Holy Spirit Acts 1:5, 8 ; 2:4
In the Spirit filled life Romans 12:1 Gal. 5:16, 25
In the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit Romans 12:6-8 Gal. 5:22-23
That we must be moderate in all things Phil. 4:5
In Divine Healing James 5:14-16 Matthew 8:17
Jesus Christ is our Divine Physician who according to His will, sovereignty, graciousness, and mercy can heal
the sick.
That the second coming is imminent and personal I Thess. 4:16-17
In Church relationship and Civil Government Heb. 10:24-25 Romans 13:1-3
In final judgement Matthew 13:41-43
In Heaven And Hell I Cor. 2:9 John 14:2 Rev. 20:10, 15
In Planned Giving (Stewardship) II Cor. 9:7
We believe that every man is the steward of his life and resources which ultimately belong to God. We believe
that tithing serves as a part of the big picture. The tithe in the Old Testament showed Israel that 10% belonged to
God, while in the New Testament 100% belongs to God as stated when Jesus told the rich young man, “Sell your
possessions, pick up your cross and come follow me (Matthew 19:21”. God does not just own a part of us; he
owns us completely. To acknowledge this and live this way is an act of worship. Therefore we do not mandate
tithing, but practice Planned Giving as a measure of obedience to the scriptural principles of stewardship.
The headship of Christ over the Church which is His body Eph. 1:22-23
The absolute sovereignty of the local pastor as overseer of the flock I Peter 5:2
In the Church and its Mission Matthew 28:19, 20
The Church are those regenerate persons who are gathered together in Christ the head of the church; through
which the gospel is preached and believers are nurtured. (Mt. 28:19, 20; Mk.16:15; Acts 1:8; Eph. 4:11-16; 1 Cor.
14:12).
A) To accomplish the work of the ministry we believe in the priesthood of the believer (Eph.. 4:12; 1 Pet 2:9)
B) And in the ministry of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers (Eph. 4:11).).
